I know that you should contact your ALO if you have any questions about the application, but I don’t have any questions. I’m almost finished with the whole process at this point. I only have the interview and CFA left. Should I contact my ALO anyway? I’m just a little nervous, as I wouldn’t really have any questions to as them.

Yes. Establish rapport with your ALO. My ALO was the one who interviewed me so it would be extremely wise for you to get to know him/her. Unless the process has changed, your ALO should be the one interviewing you. If that is still the case, then I would advise you to just talk to your ALO just for the sake of a good relationship in the case you do have any questions. It is always a good idea to have a good relationship with someone because you never know when you might need to use that relationship to help you out.

Thank you. I will call and touch base with my ALO. Just as you said, it can’t hurt to build some sort of relationship and introduce myself.

The process has changed. You are no longer interviewed by your original ALO. Once you are almost complete with your application, your ALO will change to an out of state ALO that you have not had prior contact with. This is the person that will do your interview. Since the OP is so far along in his application, the ALO listed on his portal now may indeed be the one that will conduct the interview. If you have no questions, there is no reason to contact ALO just to contact them, but it wouldn't hurt to contact him or her and ask about the interview, they will tell you if they are the one that will conduct it or not. As MikeLaw84 mentioned, it never hurts to reach out. If you don't reach out, the interviewing ALO will contact you to set up an interview once your application is complete.
