On the AROTC page on the VMI website it says, "Qualified non-scholarship cadets may contract during their sophomore, junior or senior year."

My question is, how are you able to contract as a sophomore?

Thanks for any input.

I could be wrong, but I think only SMP cadets can contract as Sophomores, Now that I think about it, if you have JROTC experience that gives you credit for the basic course you can also contract as a sophomore. Basically you have to have some type of prior military experience.

Oh, OK thanks. DS would contract as a freshman if he could (if he doesn't receive a scholarship, that is).
