I know the PFA given at the beginning of cortramid is to make sure everyone is within standards and physically fit to participate in the training as well as determining who is granted liberty rights. I was wondering if it “counts” toward anything else? Is it recorded in your files the same way the mandatory semester PFA tests are?

Whatever you do, DO NOT fail your CORTRAMID PRT/PFT. It is my understanding that you will be sent home if you fail your PRT/PFT there with a possible PRB later on. That being said, you should not need to worry too much about your scores being recorded. They just want to make sure you have been working out over the summer before they send you into your month of exposure to the operational fleet. Your performance at CORTRAMID will be recorded and sent back to your home unit for them to review.

Understand that, since you will be placed on temporary active duty while on CORTRAMID, you will be expected to meet active duty fitness standards. I am a Navy-option, so this post is what I know about the Navy side. I cannot speak for the Marine-option requirements.
