Hello all! Just curious to the families that have already attended the family day & graduation— was it worth paying for flights/hotels etc. I’m about 9 hours away so definitely not driving distance and just trying to justify the trip’s expenses. :) Any insight would be great and much appreciated!

Every family is different but there was no way we would miss it. It was 614 miles/11 hours with stops for us. He was really happy that we were there for him. We went a couple days early for a short getaway.

This is this year's 2nd Regiment graduation. Watch and decide.

We are flying in from California and have an Airbnb about 20 minutes away. My parents are driving up from Georgia. Since he’s going to Fort Drum for an internship the day after graduation, it’s the last opportunity I have to see him this summer. All the sudden, it feels so real- senior year, commissioning, and whatever comes after.

For us, the answer was no. I watched the ceremony online. My son made many new friendships at CST and he wanted to hang out with his buddies before they all went their separate ways. The ceremony is very short and to us, not worth the hundreds of dollars for travel and housing the night before.
