I was wondering out of a burning curiosity how many candidates for the class of 2024 and class of 2025 got selected from the congressional nominations boards for the state of Louisiana to KP? I just have a burning curiosity so that I may be able to improve myself to be a better candidate.

What happened during the last cycles has little to no bearing on what will happen this year. Concentrate on making yourself the best candidate you can be. Don't worry about what you can't control.

I have no idea how you would get that information, but I can share that there were absolutely midshipmen from Louisiana when I was there. LA has a great maritime culture between the river and Gulf. Shipyards, terminals, deep sea, brown water, inland, its all there. If growing up around that led to your desire to be a part of this business, I suspect you could craft a pretty good essay about it. It also probably presents a great opportunity to get some practical experience in the business that might set you apart.

Here is a resource on page 8 indicating 4: https://fas.org/sgp/crs/misc/RL33213.pdf or Congressional Nominations to U.S. Service Academies: An Overview and Resources for Outreach and Management

But then there is reality of disqualification that Admissions does to not follow this and reach out to other parts of the US. Difficult to determine this, but an estimated 30% self report during the process, but it may be directionally correct: https://www.serviceacademyforums.co...lass-of-2025-appointment-thread.77704/page-24

Good luck with the "Long Islanders."
