It’s up to us how we do our laundry. There’s a laundry service that gets sent out every Monday and you get your clothes back Wednesday. Or there’s washers and dryers in the barracks. It’s about $5 to do laundry. We can send in our linensDuring the school year, how does laundry work? Do students do their own in a laundry room? Is it sent away? Does a service do bed linens and towels or do cadets? Sorry for the boring mom question, but thank you!
My son sent his laundry out and lost pants. He went through 46 more months with 2 pairs of pants and doing his own laundry.During the school year, how does laundry work? For me it was rucking, the hills sucked. But even then it could have been worse. Honestly depends on you, what are some of your weaknesses? What’s the one hardest part of beast in your experience?
Not too many medical emergencies happen. The biggest way to stay healthy is drinking plenty of water, eating proper food and going to bed as soon as possible. There is amazing medical care here and always medical personnel around to take care of us. There’s medics everywhere and we were never more than 10 miles from our hospitalThank You SA2025! for Volunteering
- How does the medical emergencies handled while at Beast ? We have heard it is intense and I am sure everyone tries to push for the best.
Boots are all dependent on the person. Gotta try them on and see what feels good. I have the garmont bfidas and the Oakley light assaults. Any color boot socks work but I suggest getting black because you can use the black socks with multiple uniforms. Vs if you buy the tan socks you can only wear them with ACU’s.What kind of boots and socks do you and your friends use most? What color socks are needed?
Great question! I wondered the same thing!During the school year, how does laundry work? Do students do their own in a laundry room? Is it sent away? Does a service do bed linens and towels or do cadets? Sorry for the boring mom question, but thank you!
I wouldn’t bring regular clothes during beast besides the ones you wear on r day. At A day bring some clothes up. It’s good to have civies for when we take pass and also when chillin in your room. I have several pair of shoes and several outfits for when I go out.How much regular clothing do you bring the first year? I’m guessing not much but hadn’t really thought about it until the laundry question. Thank you
Np!Thanks!
What did you do to train physically for BEAST? Any things I should be working on extra? As beast gets closer lmk if y’all have questions! I remember being very stressed.
I’d say focus on your weaknesses. I suck at running so I pretty much ran everyday. Anywhere from 1-3 miles. Break in your boots and low quarters!!! Avoiding blisters makes beast a lot better lol. As long as you have a semi baseline of fitness you’ll be fine. What did you do to train physically for BEAST? Any things I should be working on extra?

Just about, depends on your running speed. If you’re really fast you’ll run with a faster running group and they’ll run more miles in 30 minutes than the slower group. Is three miles about the farthest you'll run during Beast?
Do you recommend trying to run with the fastest group you are able to if running is a strong suit of yours?Just about, depends on your running speed. If you’re really fast you’ll run with a faster running group and they’ll run more miles in 30 minutes than the slower group.
