Deadline of April 15th? Offer by text?

Hello everyone,
DS received a text congratulating him on the offer of acceptance. Has anyone else been notified by a text? We thought it was a scam first.
As over-the-moon excited as we are, here is the issue: the text says that the offer needs to be accepted by TOMORROW April 15th but his portal does not have the offer yet! So he cannot accept. Glitch 22...
He certainly does not want to let this opportunity pass him just due to a technical issue. He called admissions, his liaison officer, his ALO, nominating representative, emailed Team Blue. What else can we do to make sure the Academy does not think he is not interested? Anyone else in this boat?

Did he call the number which texted him? Next, I would call admissions. Good luck!
 
Did the text say who it was from? Very odd!!! I would think if it was from a MOC or another credible source it would read…This is (MOC) and wanted to congratulate you on your acceptance.
 
Use the Phone app (you may have to search for it, but it's almost certainly there) to call admissions.
 
I've never heard of an offer of appointment being given by text.
OP-- sounds like you've contacted several sources already. Can you confirm that this was a legitimate offer and not a prank?

Did the text ask if he'd made a decision yet or checked his portal? I received a similar text yesterday from an admissions officer (they introduced themselves by name as well) who wanted to check in with me on my own status on whether I was going to accept or decline my admissions offer. It seemed to be legitimate, and the admissions officer even offered to answer any questions that I had.
Your situation does seem a bit strange though when considering the portal has not been updated.

Actually this reminds me of situation where durning my candidate phrase I had a counselor do the same thing. They were making sure my CFA had gone well and no issues turning it in. They did address they were my team blue counseling team first and foremost.

It seems that he has gotten an appointment but I will be able to breathe when the portal updates. All sources indicated it will happen today - Monday April 18th. After waiting for so long, it all seems surreal. Thank you everyone for answering!

Can you share if the portal updated as you thought on April 18th? We received email yesterday asking us to accept or decline, but there is nothing posted on the portal.
