Deadline Text Message

DS received a text message yesterday from USNA that said, "This is a reminder that your USNA application is due January 31st. Contact your admissions counselor with any issues!"

His portal has all checkmarks with dates and times on every line under the "RECEIVED BY USNA" column. He has two nominations listed on his portal. He is qualified for CFA and medical. His SAT scores are listed. His status says "Pending" like so many thousands of other applicants.

Any idea why he would get this text message?
 
My DS got the same message and his is all complete as well, including noms.

yea and definitely contact them if there is no "checkmarks" under completed even though you submitted/completed the requirement.
 
It’s the time of year where admissions may send blanket reminders to all applicants to compete their applications.

I just sent form letters to my applicants to remind them to complete their applications prior to 31 January.

Safer to send to all then to guess if my system is appearing in real time in terms of check marks.
 
Thanks, everyone, for the replies. I believe it is nothing more than a mass text to everyone who applied or attended a CVW or NASS or something of that sort. Just to be safe, DS will call his admissions counselor on Monday. Thanks again!
 
Yup my DS received the same Friday Jan 19th. He ignored it as he has an appointment and is deep in the post appointment process.

DS did not receive any texts.. i really dislike the USNA application portal
