I was in contact with my FFR today; my district still hasn't been resolved because the primary nominee has some medical issue that has not been resolved.

Is there a solid deadline for a P nom to be medically qualified? If slates have yet to be resolved, how does that affect the 150 that are drawn from the NWL?

My RC told me April 15.

Well, does anyone have a general idea of when the 150 NWL people are selected?

Already started coming out. I'm pretty sure I was in the top 150 NWL cuz my district had a candidate who was #3 in NJ

Are there only 150 on the NWL? I know my DD is on the NWL but RC isn't very forthcoming with information.

No, everyone who is triple qualified gets onto the NWL. Based off WCS, the top 150 candidates on the NWL gets an appointment. After that the admission committee can chose candidates to fill in the class composition such as scholars, leaders, athletes, minority, etc regardless of their WCS.

My DD's portal was updated with an appointment and her FFR just called her at 1pm today to congratulate her. I believe she is from NWL, as her slate was filled with a recruited Athlete and MOC only had 1 slate and was her only nomination source. Not sure if she was top 150, but based on others scores she might of been picked for class make up (female/Hispanic). Her scores were good, as was leadership, but limited sports.

Congratulations to you and your DD! Great news and best wishes as you begin this new journey to serve this great nation of ours!

Should be 'triple qualified - with a nom.'
A picky detail - but an important one. Otherwise, you gave a great synopsis of the NWL.

We are awaiting a waiver. What if we don't get it by Friday, April 14th? Who can we speak to, to expedite the process?
