Haha....That was funny, sad part is that it's probably not entirely false.

Thought the same thing...ironically hilarious on two fronts, but sad as well.

The Coast Guard went through this just a while ago, it was known unofficially as the "Chubby Chief Program" the intent was to cull the heard of those that were camping out (Some affectionately called it Grazing) in the E-7, E-8 arena.

I was at Benning once talking to a Sgt. At 18 years in he been deployed many times. Our conversation focused on the difficulties of raising teenage daughters. He did mention he had done over 100 jumps from aircraft. He knees were gone and he was just trying to complete 20 years.

I do hope they give waivers to those non deployable who are non deployable because of their service our country! Let the guy get his last two years.

I think the issue is when you see senior NCOs and officers who have not deployed. I know of at least one GO who never deployed (aside from TDY away from the Pentagon) and was pretty much promoted for being a DC settler.
