Being that it's a military Academy, I would highly doubt it. I would even venture to say they eat more than they are used to.I searched "food" or "hungry" and did not find the question I'd to ask below.
Did any cadet get hungry even finished all the meals supplied by USAFA? And what was the solution? Sorry, please do not laugh at me. I am just curious.Thanks.
Not sure what would have prompted this thread, but one thing is certain, none of USAFA’s linemen went hungry this year. Or, maybe that was just the tv (during Army-Air Force game) adding 20 lbs. Just kidding. Calm down people.I searched "food" or "hungry" and did not find the question I'd to ask below.

This might be a dumb question, but are vegetarian options open to everyone? I’ve never heard of a vegetarian card before, so I’m just a bit curious.@BobbyBall DD got a Vegetarian Card while she was there....More options.

Hahahaha - yeah, I am a life long vegetarian and I actually tried to eat meat all freshman year, but it made me way too sick every time so I just gave up and focused on improving the vegetarian food options@USAFA10s Vegetarian IC??? Didn't you have enough challenges???![]()
That sounds like a super cool program. I'm definitely not a full vegetarian, but I'm trying to eat less meat and more greens. I've also read the vegetarian option is often less greasy/healthier. Can you get a vegetarian card, and then only use it sometimes? Is that ethical? I certainly wouldn't do it if that were considered "cheating."Part of my legacy!
Yes they are, but you have to sign up. It used to be that there was a vegetarian table, and/or a vegetarian cart of food, but on days when the vegetarians had pizza and the main dish was....less desirable, many cadets suddenly became vegetarian, and the actual vegetarians ran out of food. We originally had a list of names, but transitioned to cards to make it clearer. As we were developing the program, the idea was to have the cards with different specifics (i.e. pescatarian vs. vegetarian, no red meat) so that the kitchen would be able to tell exactly how much food to make based on what the main dish was.
I'm glad it has endured! It was a real problem for me as a freshman IC (not to mention the food needed...work).

So in years past they had a vegetarian card, but now they don't. Anyone can get vegetarian meals, and sometimes the alternative vegetarian meal is better than the what is originally served.
