Was curious to see if anyone has listed Biola University or Azusa Pacific as a school on their list? I was also curious if the cost of tuition had a factor on your scholarship or not. My top 3 schools are private schools and I didn't know if higher tuition would make it more difficult to receive a scholarship in first boards

The scholarship is awarded and then it is given based on spots available for scholarships (so already budgeted) at the school on your list. If the top school does not have spots left, then it goes to the next and so on. The school list is not a factor in the process of decoding who is selected. It is actually more likely to get those top schools first board because it is unlikely spots are taken there yet.

Things are always changing but that wasn't the case when my daughter was going thru the process. Her #1 school choice was a pricey, out of state private (the same school Dckc88's DD ended up at) and #2 was Michigan (also out of state = very pricey) and she had both on her list when she received her 4 years scholarship on the 3rd board (for nursing).

Hey, just a note, Biola's program is hosted by The CSUF battalion which is the battalion I will be in next semester. I do know that many of the cadets in that program receive scholarships from CSUF, although I'm not totally sure if you have to actually attend CSUF to get one of their scholarships or just be in one of the schools in their battalion. You may want to consider talking to the ROO there he is very helpful.

Hope that helps.
