Did I get a nomination?

DD shows three nominations in her USMA portal but only two of our MOC have advised that she was awarded a nomination. One of them has the same code listed twice. Does that mean that one of them gave her two nominations?

Yes the MOC probably has 2 openings for next year and submitted 2 slates. Your DD has been nominated on both slates. Excellent news as this gives USMA more flexibility to offer your DD an appointment.

How to some people get more than 2 noms excluding VP noms? I got 2 (1 congressional, 1 senatorial). Do your senators not talk to each other to prevent double nominations?

There are plenty of threads on this topic if you use the search button up top.

Every senator sets their own policies on double nominations. Some allow it while others corroborate to spread the wealth. Even the states that corroborate still can double nominate - it’s not a law.

There are also service connected/presidential nominations, as you may know.

Someone could gain noms through a JROTC unit, one each from 3 elected officials if they do not collaborate, any Presidential or service-connected nom for which they are eligible, other types of Superintendent noms, VP nom (unlikely if they have other noms).
 
Some states are not super competitive or may have more openings available than other ones. Which is why some students have more than one Nom.
