Different branches have different requirements?

DS has received scholarship for both AFROTC and now SFROTC. Presently, he is working on a waiver for AFROTC. Would SFROTC have different requirements and would it be possible that SFROTC might not require a waiver for the same condition?

NO.

"All" applicants must meet DoD medical accessions standards. There are NO different medical accession standards for SF

That said, all services have the authority to waive DoDMERB DQs. As SF is evolving, the "tendency," undocumented and no policies exist @ this time, is to be a tad more liberal on waivers, on a case-by-case basis. :spacecraft:

DS has been going through the waiver process through AFROTC. He was recently accepted to SFROTC and that is his first choice. Should he now reach out to SFROTC to apply for the waiver through them instead of AFROTC? Should the be happening simultaneously? Or should he just wait on AFROTC waiver?

Depending on the condition, a waiver may not be needed for SF. Given it's a part of AF it might even be the same waiver authority (not sure how they work that). If it were me I'd wait to see ... JMPO.

For the first time in 10 years, kinnem is incorrect (but I think it was just to test me...I passed): Depending on the condition, a waiver may not be needed for SF. There are NO special medical accession standards for SFROTC @ this time and probably unlikely there will be in the future. The "flex" will come in the form of medical waivers:wiggle:

You must not have looked at every post of mine. LOL.

So just to be clear, DS should just continue to go through the AFROTC waiver process even if he would prefer to do SF?

There only is an AFROTC waiver process. The waiver authority (the same for all) will see that it is for SFROTC and will render their waiver decision accordingly:wiggle:
