Naval Academy and West Point medical requirements state that if you had a eating disorder under the age of 13 or less than 3 months then you can pass the DoDMERB.
I had a eating disorder when I was 11 and for longer than 3 months but I was younger than 13 when medically cleared, etc. I have had no problems for 5+ years now and am a varsity athlete being recruited, no relapses, etc. Does anyone with experience know if I will pass the DoDMERB?
I understand I will probably have to jump through extra hoops but it was my dream to attend a Service academy since i was little and I actually just got a LOE from West Point, so i have my hopes up but I just remembered my medical history. Please anyone with experience with this situation respond, I don't want people with opinions my dad, brother and uncle went to the Naval Academy so I know service academy requirements and my dad is the one who had access to the information i wrote in the first paragraph as he is a retired Marine and Blue and Gold officer.
