My daughter, now class of 2016, attended. She stayed with a group of female cadets (all of whom are now firsties and still good friends with her) for Thursday through Saturday night, left on Sunday morning. She went to the USAFA/Army game where we won the Commander in Chief Trophy (and she called me from the field in a sea of cadets), talked into the wee hours with the girls in the squadron, went to element dining out, went to classes, toured every building, ate at Mitch's, met Cuba Gooding, Jr., went to a bonfire rally and spirit dinner...all in all, had one of the best times of her life. The length of time and the activities you could experience far exceed even the athletic recruiting trips (we know because her status as a prospective athlete caused some headaches for the NCAA compliance folks). She had friends in her group who were admitted to the prep school, a few were direct appointments, and several went to ivy league schools. I think the visit caused my daughter to choose USAFA over her other choices which included ivy leagues. She is a successful cadet now and has never regretted her choice. Enjoy your visit, learn a lot, ask tons of questions and soak it all in! Good luck!
