Hi, our DS just scheduled his DODMERB exam with contracted medical office. When he told them what it was for, they called it 'an ROTC' exam. He repeated the DODMERB and they called it ROTC. Are they one and the same?
Thank you, these forums are awesome! So many smart, experienced and witty people!

You should be fine.

DoDMERB exams are mostly for ROTC, and a smaller percentage are used for the Service Academies (just due to the sheer numbers of ROTC applicants versus SA's).

The medical staff are simply using the wrong terminology as I know of no other type of medical exam, specific to ROTC other than DoDMERB.

Great, thank you. I was kind of figuring that. It is a military town and I thought they might get a lot of ROTC patients. Maybe it's a good thing they aren't familiar with the SA term for DODMERB? Hopefully not that many are occurring in our area, fingers crossed! Appreciate the fast reply as well.
