Can anyone clarify the process for the medical examination by DODMERB. My DS applied EA and has heard nothing yet regarding his medical. He made an enquiry to the admissions office who stated that he was forwarded for scheduling on the 15th of October. However, Concord Medical who does the scheduling says they have no record of him. He has nothing is his SPAM folder. We have given this information back to the admissions office and are awaiting their response.

My understanding was that he should have received an email provided a link to a questionnaire and after the completion of that is physical would be scheduled.

Is this correct?

Have you tried going to the DODMERB Tricare website? You can enter your son's SSN and DOB and it will tell you if you son is eligible to create a DODMETS account.
Here is the link to the website

It says his application hasn't been added to DODMERB system

This is correct. I received this email on October 15th and submitted my application on October 10th.

The email reads as follows:

Our DS is having the same problem. He's submitted everything and hasn't been contacted to schedule a medical exam. When he types in his SS and DOB in DODMETS it tells him that his application hasn't been added to the DODMERB system. Is anyone else having this problem?

Has he contacted DODMETS to start the process of identifying the issue at that level? Or his assigned DODMERB technician? Something may be toggled off. The incoming data is no doubt at high tide.

My DD‘s name wasn’t submitted to DODMETS until AFTER she revived an Appointment. (scholars) Others seemed to get theirs before. I am not sure why the difference but it certainly wasn’t predictable. All that to say that if your DS hasn’t received one and you are still in the APP process, I think that’s perfectly normal. Perhaps call the AO?

Our DD says he called USNA Admissions this morning at two different numbers and the best he was able to get was a voice mailbox at which he left a message asking about scheduling his medical. Thanks for all the responses. It sounds like he'll just have to hurry up and wait. His older brother is a new Ensign in the Navy and that seems to be a theme! Go Navy, Beat Army!

Sanman, Adianrockne, - If your DS’ are still having issues, have your DS’, the ACTUAL applicants, email me at dodmerb_saforms@yahoo.com with:

”Sanman - the DS complete name - Last 4 SSN”
”Adianrockne- the DS complete name - Last 4 SSN”

I will help them from there

Our DD initially received a DODMERB disqualification in October 2019 (we expected it). She just received her "permanent medical waiver" for the CGA yesterday on 13 Jan 2020. She's now medically cleared and has her appointment to the academy. So proud!

For what it's worth, the USAFA granted her a waiver pretty quickly (in late October 2019) although they did request any and all treatment notes and imaging reports related to her surgery. The USNA granted her a waiver in early December, so we were just waiting on the CGA.

I think @CGFAM may be correct in that the CGA operates differently from the other SA's in scheduling DoDMERB exams. I have heard from different sources that often CGA does not submit a name until the application is complete and the admissions staff determines that that candidate is highly qualified and may receive an appointment. Many candidates who do not submit a complete application by 1/15, and are not deemed "Board Ready" may not get their names submitted to DoDMERB for an exam. Best to check with CGA Admissions and find out if they actually did submit the name and when they did it. Sometimes the medical is not ordered until after Jan 15th when all the RA applications are finished. I am not sure this is right, but different people going thru the process have indicated it happens.
