I received notification a short while ago about being Disqualified medically due to a bee sting allergy I have. I've gotten stung twice in my life and both stings resulted in mild hives but no swelling of any kind. My RC applied for a waiver for me last week, but does anybody have any idea on my chances of getting the waiver or a possible timeline for it? DoDMERB has all of my documents already, including a letter from my allergist that states that I "can be considered NOT to have a risk for a severe reaction to insect stings greater than that of the general population."

Thanks for the help!

I wish you the best on this waiver. I do know that bee sting reactions are unpredictable despite best guess estimates. Too many variables to consider.

I'm interested to know what others think on this since allergies are such a big part of life.

Hello, my daughter also has the similar situation about the bee sting... she had bee sting once when she was 5, and nothing serious, she is applying to USMA this year, I would love to find out are you able to get the wavier with the letter from your allergists?
