So we go to our eye doctor and he finds my son is correctable to 20/20 will DodMerb accept that or is that when a new disqualification shows up?

Who actually approves the waiver DodMerb or USNA, not sure who you mean by waiver authorities?

If a new manifest refraction shows that your son is correctable to 20/20 DoDMERB could possibly remove the disqualification. If they are unable to remove the disqualification then it goes up to the waiver authority, who are a separate entity from DoDMERB.
