I'm both a S. Korea-USA citizen, would this affect my application at all? Would I have to drop it before applying? Will it make things harder for me?

Some posts that may be of interest:

I think one issue is that if SK has mandatory military service how will that affect things?

If you are currently a junior (or younger), I would go ahead and begin the process with your parents to renounce your Korean citizenship now. Obviously this is just my experience, but at about this time last year, we submitted paperwork with the local Korean consulate to renounce my citizenship, and my Korean citizenship was officially renounced a few weeks ago. So it is a lot of waiting. The result though is that it'll just make things smoother in the future, i.e applying for security clearance and such. Above links from bopper will probably be helpful, you can also try reaching out to official sources at the academy that you wish to attend.

Magic Turtle is correct. My DS (appointed to Class of 2024 for USMA) is a dual national as well (US/Brazil). He is currently going through the process of renouncing his Brazilian citizenship. There should be no issue with the admissions process.

NOTE: Failure to abide by security clearance instructions may result in refused admission, adverse action, and/or disenrollment. Appointees who possess dual citizenship (both U.S. Citizenship and foreign citizenship) must bring their current or expired foreign passport with them to the Academy. As part of the security clearance process, you will be asked to sign a statement affirming loyalty to the United States and the willingness to renounce your foreign citizenship. Your foreign passport may be shredded during this time.

This is the key here, you will be asked to sign this form but (likely depending on the country) you may or may not have to actually renounce it. I hold dual US-UK citizenship and never had to renounce my UK citizenship.

Did you disclose it on the SF-86 and no one ever told you to renounce it? Wow.

What kind of clearance to do you have?

TS - again I'd venture to guess this is highly dependent on the country. I'd bet you couldn't get away with this if it was Iran.

It says on the instructions to call the security office. You'll get your answers there. I got my answers there. You can find the number on your portal.
