For HS Seniors next year, what is the earliest month to receive acceptance to the AFA?

Go look at the class Appointment threads for this year and prior years - that will give you a sense of when appointments start being offered. It’s a bell curve with mini-bells embedded.

For someone who completes their application over the summer and has a service-connected nomination, which is just a matter of eligibility, AND is highly desired by USAFA, an appointment could be offered by end of summer. Those applicants could just as easily be complete but wait until April for news.

January- I heard a few seniors get accepted
February (2022) - prep schoolers( me) got in
March- (the first time I applied) I got my falcon scholarship however this is mostly when I heard others getting in as well
April- another few rounds of acceptance
May- another round of falcon scholarships, normally from those rejected.
*This based on personal experience* and happens to also reflect the normal.

My DS is a current Doolie for Class of 2026 and he received his appointment Jan 11. He finished everything including receiving nomination by around Dec 10 or so.

Here's another repost of this appointment update for Class of 2023, written around February of that cycle.

Soonest you can get it all done plus nomination. For our son his nom wasn’t done until January. Some have them as soon as September.

My son received his admission's acceptance mid-November for the upcoming class of '27. I don't think that is very common given he went the "normal" route of receiving his Nomination. From everything I've read, there are too many variables determining why one candidate receives theirs earlier and others on a more "normal" schedule. Only thing you can do to speed up the process is get your packet complete as early as possible. My son had his complete within about 5 weeks of the portal opening this past summer. Your Nomination, if not presidential, is the only limiting factor out of your hands.
