My son was contacted by his interviewing ALO, who told my son that his interview was due next week. No explanation. It will get done, so that's not a problem, but I'm curious why the deadline would be so early since my son's candidate kit isn't due until January. Last year, by comparison, the ALO interview was in December.

If it makes any difference, he's a reapplicant.

My DS's candidate kit is due by Nov 1st this year. Most are I think. He should check his portal and look at his due date.

As I mentioned, his candidate kit due date is January, the 15th specifically.

My sons was due mid-Sept even tho his application isn’t due till Nov 1.
Where do you see that date? My son just completed his ALO interview on Tuesday, but it hasn't been uploaded yet. He hasn't seen any other due date than Nov 1st.

Precisely my question with different dates. Nothing in the portal about a much earlier due date for ALO interview. The only way my son knew is because the ALO told him, so I'm curious how that would be and what the purpose is for the earlier due date. Last year, as far as he knew, there was no such thing.

The candidate portal should show a due date (deadline) for the ALO interview. I'll be honest, ALOs have to search for it; it's not intuitively obvious.

And yes, November 1st is a BIG date for early candidates; it's their "done by this date" with all they can control.

Can anyone here describe where in the candidate portal this is such that the candidate can view it? Or is this only visible to the ALO?

My DS contacted admissions today and they told him that his interview does not need to be in before the Nov 1st deadline. She said interview, nom, and medical don't have to be done by the deadline.

My read is that this is more of a deadline for the evaluating ALO than the candidate being evaluated.

The ALO can't see anything on the candidate's portal. Once upon a time we could but "they" switched to new software and that was it.
