For my past two reapplication efforts I made a big point out of being a reapplicant and rereapplicant in personal statement. This year in my personal statement I want to answer the prompts (What lead to your interest in naval service and how will USNA help you achieve those goals and personal experience that describes your character development and integrity) without any mention of reapplying. That being said, I still feel that as someone on their 4th application, I should write about my reasons and experiences that lead me to a 4th application and a continued desire to attend USNA and serve as a commissioned officer. Where in my application can I put this piece? I was thinking the remarks area under current college. If there's any better places or methods to do it I'll be glad to know.

Thank you for your help.

Suggest you discuss it with your BGO. S/he can include it in their write-up. That's one of the reasons for a BGO interview -- to address things that don't necessarily "fit" in the normal appliction.

If you're a reapplicant, consider if there is someone with whom you have worked (not just a family friend) who might write an extra LOR and discuss it. It should be part of an overall recommendation that discusses your leadership, work habits, etc.

It also might fit into the "led to your interest in naval service" essay -- in your case, what has led you to continue to be interested and to continue to pursue USNA vs. ROTC, OCS, etc.

They will also be able to access your previous applications, if I am not mistaken, and see what you said before. It will be the same overall organization that reviews and considers your application when the time comes. So, as you are already aware, do not just he-hash the past. Let them know how you've improved to make yourself an even more appealing candidate.

And kudos to for you for continuing to chase the dream.
