I finally broke down and called our Senator to ask what kind of a slate they submitted. I found out they had a principal nomination with the rest unranked.
They also told me lots of bonus information. In addition to the principal nominee, a couple other candidates have already been offered appointments.
They also said that my daughter had been deemed 3Q'd and "extremely competitive". Apparently she has also "already been evaluated" but that they did not know what the decision was.
I'm curious how they would know that a candidate was considered "extremely competitive" by the Academy, and if that changes the odds at all over just being 3Q'd and nominated? Can they see the WCS?
Finally, does being evaluated, but not getting any news (good or bad) mean anything?
