I know visitors must enter the North gate but can they exit the south gate?

It depends on the event you are there for. If you have a military ID card then you can come and go anywhere on the academy. Except for certain student areas. If you are civilian then some roads have guard shacks that won't let you go through. If you're talking parents weekend or a football game, you can go out either gate. So the answer is; it depends. Depends on what event is happening when you are there. But generally yes.

Thanks CC. I was basically thinking about after the football game this Saturday. Looks like a much quicker way out then backtracking to the North gate. I'm sure no matter which way you go after the game it will be slow moving.

Leaving by the North Gate

How late can we leave by the North Gate ? Like on Wed. 27th, Thr. 28th ?

After the two football games I attended on Parents' Weekend, I too thought it would be shorter to exit the south gate but ALL traffic leaving the stadium parking lots was directed towards the north gate by security police.

After a football game, which gate you exist will be determined by where you parked during the game. They push half out the north gate and half out the south. The only way to manipulate this is to have a military ID card and know your way around base so you can back road your way to the gate you want. But for the rest of the fans, you'll be directed to the gate that is convenient. You won't have a choice.

Now some of us will actually stick around and thudgate for another hour after the game. Then when we're ready to leave, most everyone else is gone and it's easier. Leave however you want and very little traffic or stress.
