February ACT Scores

DD took the ACT with writing in February and increased her English score by two points. Since she took the writing portion, test results could be delayed. Will USMA count this ACT score if it happens to reach USMA after 2/28/17? I didn't know if anyone else has talked to their RC about this issue. Thanks!

If I remember correctly, I believe this is the one circumstance when admissions will let you forward a copy of the new scores to them, subject to following with the official scores. I think your daughters ACT portal has a page listing all the scores, and I would copy that, and forward it to her RC along with the explanation, and the request that the new scores be considered pending official receipt of the same, because there will be a delay in light of the writing portion. Did your daughter need to increase her writing score? If not, only one exam with writing is required. The others can be without.

IMHO if she can get a pdf of scores off the ACT website she should upload to portal / email to admissions contact while she waits for official results with writing.
Really cannot hurt anything.

RC did accept a PDF copy of her February ACT. We just had to email admissions and copy her RC. Just in case anyone else happened to be wondering.

Thank you, I just looked at my Jan. SAT scores and they improved a lot. I sent a copy to my RC and liaison, as well as admissions via the college board.

Similar thing happened to my DD. She contacted her RC and he requested her log in information to verify scores and gave her an email to someone at USMA to send pdf to. He said if he logs in he can make them official. He told her he was vouching for her and she has a 50/50 shot. She has never received a 3Q letter, but he did tell her she was competitive. We have not received anything from USMA about her being on the NWL. I have no idea, at this point...
