There's a part of me, deep within, that is genuinely excited for those of you (or your kids) who are going through this process. Watching my boy run the AROTC gauntlet at this time, last year, was eye-opening. A 50/50 split, between excitement and paranoia.
Then there's another part of me, thrilled to never have to go through that, ever again. If I knew then, what I know now, I might have kept most of my hair dark, and would have 13 fewer ulcers.
To all of those in the pipe, for this cycle....BEST OF LUCK. Listen to people like @kinnem, @Montana State Army ROTC, and @MohawkArmyROTC when they give advice. They will NOT steer you wrong.
Oh.....and replenish the liquor cabinet. You're gonna need it.
