Firsties (and others): Would you do it again?

Since I got here I have been amazed at how many people do not like it here. They all say that they cannot wait to leave and get out. I have made the habit of asking upperclassmen "Knowing what you know now, would you still come here?" The definintive answer is no, there are a few exceptions, however they are the minority. It seems like the longer you are away from this place, the more you miss it and wish you were still here.

They are mostly from one squad. A couple from another three squads (cadre during basic that I talked to.)

some people are just toughin it out and making it through... that's not the way to go. if you really think about what you're doin here, there's an opportunity to learn every day, if not every hour.. sure, the bad days are insanely bad, but it's up to you whether or not the good days are good enough. for me, they are. recognition made everythin completely worth it. jumping out of planes made everything completely worth it. getting back from cst was one of the best feelings in the world... it's all up to the individual, and i personally think that the terrible days are worth it when the good days roll around. and plus, there arent that many terrible days
