I have been medically cleared through dodmerb, but forgot to mention that 5 years ago I had a possible bulging disc in my back. It has never prevented me from sports or activities, so I did not think to add it, but I feel it would be best to tell them just in case. How do I go about this?

Suggest you post this in the DODMERB forum. Mr. Mullen from DODMERB will be able to assist you.

You’ll see that Mr. Mullen has temporarily stepped away to focus on the website outage. In his last post he provides the help desk contact. Start there.

And while I am in no way a possible stunt double for Mr. Mullen, I can tell you the obvious questions which will arise when you do disclose the back issue. Were you seen by a doctor? X-rays taken? Medications prescribed? Or did it just heal on its own? The potential challenge with a late disclosure is this could have been looked at during the initial DoDMERB exam to determine best way forward. But that horse more or less left the barn already.

Right, I understand that. I saw a doctor and got MRIs done, and could disclose those images/findings. No herniated disc or anything like that, just slightly protruding. I was never prescribed medication or got surgery, and I just let it heal on its own. Since I haven't had any further issues and was never technically treated for it, I have hopes that it won't be too big of an issue. I will for sure email the help desk. Thank you all!
