Form 86

I read somewhere that you should keep a copy for yourself. Mostly because when you have to file that out again sometime in the future, it would be nice if the answers match. Not because your are lying or planning on lying but because sometimes you remember things differently and you should keep your answers consistent. That's what I read anyway

I watched my son complete it last cycle. He kept a hard copy for himself, turned one in, input all data when at his SA. We also kept a digital copy at home and a hard copy is with him in his con locker and one here at home as backup.
many times you will need this data again and if you make changes from initial SF86 it can cause headaches to put it mildly.
I feel your pain, I just completed it for myself for a job this morning. Yikes.

Before we went to digital copies on these, the hard paper copy always traveled in my personal hand-carry bag, along with original orders, original fitness report file and other key papers.

One of the items our DS has referred back to over and over is an expandable file folder we got at Target before he left. He keeps it in his con locker and travels with it. It has all pertinent, not to be separated form your person docs. Good idea to send one with your soon to be cadet or mid.

Has anyone gotten an error message "file encrypted" when trying to edit SF86 in adobe acrobat?
