People need to stop using Reddit as an information source. How many people are walking around believing that story? How many posters on this forum were hoodwinked by it?

That letter is so stupid as to be explained by only two possibilities. Either USAF has goofball English profs or it was a joke (my expectation). It's the reason I googled "duffelblog USAF moustache".

There has certainly been an acceleration in that downfall since Facebook became the #1 source of political news for millennials. I read recently that Facebook will let the "community" determine the accuracy of of news. So sayeth Zuckerberg:

“There’s too much sensationalism, misinformation and polarization in the world today,” Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s chief executive, **LINK REMOVED** wrote in a post on Friday. “We decided that having the community determine which sources are broadly trusted would be most objective.”

Blaming stupid people for our own stupidity is like blaming immigrants willing to work and study for our own laziness.
