He will be required to wear glasses during plebe summer, no contacts allowed. If he has managed to go through life so far without glasses or contacts, then not wearing glasses during plebe summer wouldn't affect him at all. USNA will issue him 2 pairs of glasses during plebe summer, but there is no requirement that he has to wear glasses just because he has a prescription for them.
