Hello, I am currently a senior applying for Army ROTC and I was wondering if anyone was familiar with the benefits of AROTC at a private university or in my case Gonzaga.

Hello, I am currently a senior applying for Army ROTC and I was wondering if anyone was familiar with the benefits of AROTC at a private university or in my case Gonzaga.

Compared to what, a public university like University of Washington. It should be the same difference between a large University and a smaller college. I would imagine a smaller Rotc group.

I can tell you that Gonzaga has a great AROTC unit. My son did a campus tour and spent the weekend with the unit back in 2012. They even took him out on a "simulated mission". You probably already know this but it's a small campus and when the relentless wind blows thru there, it can get bone chilling cold. My son ended up going to Boise State because Gonzaga was getting ready to go thru a major construction project where their already less than stellar food services area was going to get worse as they built the new area. It's obviously done by now and no doubt fantastic. My son's also not a basketball fan and that's what keeps Gonzaga relevant to the outside world.
