Does anyone know what gpa one needs in college to secure a spot? I go to a pretty competitive college and I'm taking one of the hardest loads (Chem, bio, calc 2, philosophy+writing+theology 6credit course) and I'm wondering if my course load/school will reflect on admissions

The best source for what college GPA is generally competitive is your RC. Since academics is only 60% of the Whole Candidate Score, there is no GPA that can guarantee a spot.

I don't know about specific GPA requirements, but your grades in chemistry, calculus, and writing will be most important. I assume USMA will look for honors level work (at least B's). The best predictor of future college performance is current college performance. College GPA in relevant subjects will carry much more weight than high school GPA.

Nothing below a B.
Also, you will get a WCS bonus for being a college student.
When applying from high school, the academic info (class rank and Standardized test scores) are just indicators of how well the candidate will do in college.
As a college student, your grades reflect how you are actually doing as a college student.
