Naval Academy midshipmen to be commissioned on the Yard in groups due to coronavirus concerns

Coronavirus precautions may have stopped the Naval Academy Class of 2020 from having the fanfare of graduation in a packed stadium, but the midshipmen will still commission on the Yard in uniform in five groups over 10 days.

Bottom line: it will be live. 210 grads at a time in 5 waves. It will be filmed/streamed. No guests of any kind.

The smaller group oaths will not be live streamed...rather filmed for viewing after the May 22nd live event, that will incorporate some of the small group oaths in its live event.
