Has anyone had an ACT score input since July?

They are still telling DS that they are locked out of the system but told him this week he won’t be considered until they can complete his file by inputting his ACT. So he isn’t even being considered thought his file was COMPLETE by Aug 15 but they can’t put in his ACT.

Disclaimer: It is early in the cycle. They know what they are doing. The right people will be selected for the class. LOAs are unicorns and not the end goal and are worthless without a nomination.

He still worked hard to get it all in early so he’d have a chance of getting an LOA.

DS Aug SAT showed up this week on the portal, but he didn't take the act. I'm sorry, that's frustrating.

My initial ACT score was uploaded almost instantly during the summer. I had to resend another ACT detail score for superscoring and send that on 8/24. It was just accepted and input into the system this week.

That is GREAT! Maybe there will be movement!!!!

Wouldn’t this be the case with everyone? So your DS would be in the same boat as everyone else? BTW, an LOA can be issued without them. And LOA’s are issued even later in the cycle. The TIMING of the application is not a requirement of an LOA.

Ive not heard of a system wide ‘locking out’ ACT’s. Has your son tired calling college board? I know my oldest had to do that and they were very helpful in explaining how it all works. It was a long time ago, so cannot recall details.

DS told by his admissions counselor that they are locked out of putting in ACT scores. He questioned the AC and she confirmed that his file would not be considered without that piece of info. Just repeating what he was told this week. It’s not a problem in the college board side of things. The problem is on USNAs side as they manually input the score. His score was sent for the July 15th test and we resent on Aug 8th and Aug 24. Finally contacted AC in early Sept and she explained then and confirmed earlier this week they have it but are locked out and cannot input it.

When the ACT scores are “sent” they are just being made available to the requesting organization via its portal login. They are not being sent by email or physical letters. I would try to find out what specific system are they being “locked out” from and what is their strategy to restore the access or if there are any alternative ways to provide admissions with the scores.

From reading the emails they exchanged admissions can see his score—they verified his individual area scores and super score-but they can’t put them into his portal. It’s like they are locked out of their own system.

According to my DS, his ACT from September shows up in his portal. Interesting how it seems to be hit or miss.

I believe at the meeting with the parents that was held during CVW admissions folks indicated that they have switched vendor for the admissions portal and perhaps “locking out” part is being referred to as the collection of technical issues that they are trying to resolve in order to put the scores in, rather than someone’s login not working.

my DD SAT score was sent on June 22. She even emailed her admissions counselor to confirm and they replied to her that they has received her transcripts and will check on her SAT scores. As of today, it hasn't showed up in her portal yet. Her application status is still showing “incomplete” :-(

May I ask what region? Maybe it’s a regional thing. We are Southeast.

There is a data entry clerk for each region. Try to get in touch with them and figure out the missing items

The data entry clerk is called an Examiner and each region has one. They are a civilian position. Despite all wishes and hopes and dreams the tech seems to plague admissions.
This causes angst and stress for applicants. And I’m sure admissions as well.
And they continue to work through it year after year and offer the appointments they deem appropriate every year.
