Were there 197 winners each for both AFROTC and AROTC? I thought I read somewhere that there were 197 winners for AFTOTC

I'm only aware of the AFROTC winners being notified. My DS was notified by AFROTC as a winner on Tuesday of this week.

So once the Cadet Command identifies the 202 winners, do they send the list to the corresponding schools the kids selected, and give these schools a certain amount of time to select whether their candidate gets a spot at that school or not? Do we think that is where we are in the process? How long do these school have to select their candidates? Thank you.

No - The scholarship is awarded to 3 schools (usually) in the list of 7 that was submitted. The applicant gets to determine which school they will accept the scholarship to. The schools have nothing to do with the process. Cadet Command awards the scholarships to the schools. Where we are in the process is Cadet Command finalizing the offers and aligning the offers with the schools.
