Hello, everybody. Kind of late joining this site, but I figured that it would be a good idea nonetheless.

So, who am I? I'm an Army ROTC applicant for the class of 2015, ideally at Norwich University in Vermont. As my name suggests, I'm an avid runner, on both the cross country and track teams of my high school; I was the captain of the XC team this past season, and hopefully will be considered as captain of the track team. I have been involved in Scouts for the past ten years (At least!), going all the way from a Tiger Cub to an Eagle Scout, as well as being a merit badge counselor at a Scout camp and attending the 2010 National Jamboree.

I am looking to go into either Army Intelligence, Military Police, or the Infantry. The way I see it, I can either give the door-crashers the information they need, make sure they don't get too out of control, or lead them myself. Simplistic, perhaps, but that's the way I see it.

WELCOME!!!

You'll find this place a great site for information, good times, friends, and just a lot of fun!

Please join in with us!!!

Hello

Hello,

My name is Christopher Burke. I am also from Massachusetts, and have been involved in scouts my whole life also. I am an Eagle Scout, my troop's SPL (not for much longer though), was a PL or APL several times, as well as in the Order of the Arrow. I also attended the 2010 National Jamboree with the Boston Minuteman Council contingent, and was just wondering what you thought of the experience and what impression it has left on you. I know that it was a very memorable experience for myself, as I learned a lot about the world outside of the small Boston-suburb town I live in, many leadership skills, as well as the memories I have and friends I made. Also, have you/are you attending Philmont? I will be going there this July with the local Venture Crew in my town. In case you were wondering, I would love to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Sincerely,
Christopher Burke
