I'm Taylor Baez, from Monticello, Florida. I'm a sophomore at North Florida Community College and 19 years old. I was interested in the USNA during my senior year of high school, but I wasn't really sure if I wanted to make that much of a commitment. I knew I wanted to go to college and get a degree, but I wasn't sure where, or in exactly what field. After looking at all my options, I decided that this is what I want to do.So now I've decided that is what I want so I applied to the United States Naval Academy.

First of all: Welcome to the forum. Just about any of your questions or concerns can be found here.

Question: You say you are currently a sophomore in college. You also said that you applied to the USN academy. My question(s) is: Did you apply to the academy for the class of 2016 and you have received an appointment; or are you applying to the class of 2017 for next year? If it's the later, then you, assuming you get an appointment next year, will have finished your JUNIOR year in college.

If you applied to this year's class of 2016, and received an appointment, then total congrats to you. Either way; welcome aboard.
