After lurking for quite awhile, I decided to sign up as it is clear my daughter's path will be ROTC or Service Academy.

DD graduates from a Military High School (entire 900+ kids are MC JROTC) in May. She is the XO of the Battalion. At five years old, she declared she was going to be a Marine, and that's all she wrote. She was laser focused on that goal until mid year of her junior year when she started thinking about the Coast Guard Academy. After four straight weeks of military camps in three states, AIM and Marine Corps Summer Leadership and Development Academy made her realize that the Coast Guard is a better fit for her as her leadership style tends to be Leadership through Service.

She has applied to the Coast Guard Academy, Virginia Military Institute, Virginia Tech and SUNY Maritime. She has been accepted into SUNY Maritime and VTCC. VMI sent her a financial aid offer, but she has not received an appointment yet. She also applied for the 4 year Naval ROTC Scholarship with Marine Corps option, we are waiting to hear on that. We were told April 1st.

Here I sit, anxiously waiting for 1 April to find out if she gets into USCGA or is offered CGAS. Fortunately the next few weeks are jam packed with Drill Competition Regionals, Regattas and getting ready from prom.
