Hopeful USMA Class of 2028 : a place to play the waiting game together.

My DS has been under waiver review since early March, there was some miscommunication between DoDMERB and waiver authorities that delayed them knowing they had all the requested info until around 4/10. He was told the 4/15 deadline to be medically qualified doesn't apply to him and there's still a chance. Does anyone know for sure whether some people hear back after 5/1, or is that a pretty firm date to get a response one way or the other? My assumption is that most hear by then, but no guarantees.

He has a solid backup plan - we do need to pay some money to that school by 5/1 either way so just wondering if there's anything we can know with certainty until he gets a status change.
 
No. But you may get an update tomorrow. It would be worth potentially losing the few hundred dollars if it brings you peace of mind. Otherwise wait until Tuesday.

That sounds lovely! I’m nervous for my DS, hoping for a decision..scared he will get a TWE or even worse hear nothing at all 🙏🏻

I'm in the same boat as well. There's a kid at my school that got appointed, but he hasn't decided whether or not he'll accept. The two of us have very comparable stats, so it's possible the academy is waiting on him to make a decision before they decide about me. However that's just me speculating, there's no way to really know.
 
It's a quiet day over here. It looks like we have at least eight of us still waiting/hoping. If you're comfortable sharing, have many of you had any discussions with your FFO about AOG civilian prep offers? I wonder what the likelihood of those offers may be at this point?

MY DS hasn't reached out to them in quite some time, he is keeping up the faith and seeing where things end up. I on the other hand can't stand this any more. :)
