Hopeful USMA Class of 2028 : a place to play the waiting game together.

Sitting with an LOA, 3Q, two noms. Was told my appointment was going to be sent out at the end of February. Nearing the end of April... I've reached out to every contact with admissions and either have gotten zero response or have been told that it takes time...
This is absolutely crazy that there are still 3Q candidates with LOAs still waiting. Wow!

Maybe you should contact your MOC (your nomination) and ask them to contact West Point ? I understand it is a busy season there, but they may take MOC more seriously ? The fact is you have a lot paper work need to be done before R-day. Some of submission with deadline on May 15.

SAME! I did make contact with admissions (went through the parent liaison after quite some time of no response) and got confirmation that we were not forgotten and are assured an appointment. Doesn't answer the question of what is taking so long but nice to know that it didn't get lost. May 1st is their date and it's coming up quickly. You would think they would get the LOA's out of the way. We were waiting on a waiver but that came through at the end of February!

Wow! That has to be frustrating and worrisome. I hope you get it soon!

Just found out that my DS received a letter from USMA indicating he is 3Q and has been placed on NWL.

Yesterday, DS got TD from both USAFA and USNA.

Its been a roller coaster of emotions for us. I read NWL is a good place to be.

Oh my! Here’s to another waiting, hoping and praying 🙏 ❤️

Congrats on the NWL; we have been on it since last year and hope it's got an actual chance of being appointed too.

DS has a PNom but Medically DQ'd, still waiting for a waiver and when he reached out to USMA they told him it's in DoDMERBS control and then when he reach out to DoDMERBS they say it's in USMA control. I'm frustrated but DS seems calm and positive. As the parent that needs to coordinate travel plans and work vacation request it's very frustrating. Thank you to everyone in this forum, this is the only place that understand what I'm feeling.

yes he saw it in his portal this morning. Waiting on the BFE
Old Grad Dad....did your DS get into USMAPS or USMA? I think you posted that he was appointed USMA on the USMA appointment thread. Did you know there is an USMAPS forum and thread?

Hope he gets an appointment soon! May 1st is fast approaching. Hope we also get to hear soon eventhough DS was just recently placed in NWL. Its good to see some positive update from USMA.
