BB throw: 72 feet
Cadence Pull ups: 6 (did pushups first and did the test out of order bc of room use)
Shuttle run: 8.7 sec
Situps: 58 (ik it's bad but i believe it's passing)
Pushups: 76 (maxed)
Mile run: 6:48

Pretty good. You did better than my DD in all the events with the exception of sit-ups and 1 mile run. :D

I would work on situps the CFA ones are way easier than APFT ones and 57 is the minimum for males.

You need to work on your upper body strength. If you earn an Appointment your Plebe Summer will be very challenging. Your running is fine but not the others. You are on the borderline of getting a C if you pass. First half 49% failed. Second half 96% passed. 4% are on probation. Those 4% if they don’t pass by Spring they will be asked to leave. So work on your upper body strength and run run and run and swim swim and swim. If you swim under 2:30 seconds on 400 meters you can place out and get an “A” on Plebe swim class and use that time for more study or activities.

CrewDad, 16 laps in 2min 30sec is extremely fast. Does USNA publish the swim validation requirements? I'm a swimmer and I'm interested in finding out. Here's an old thread I found about it:

For some odd reason I find the situps and pullups easier than the pushups. i got 93 situps, 14 pullups but 65 pushups.

Fyi: track sprinter, bodybuilder

Build them small Bruce Lee muscles not Hulk muscles. Big muscles slow you down lacks stamina and continuous strength. Big muscles look good but lacks strengths and speed. You need to build the small muscles around your bones tendons joints. Think about a balloon.

Speed time I got from my son now a Plebe at USNA. According to him about 10% in his Company are state national level swimmers. Not all swim or swim well but many swim they have to if they want to graduate. Swimming gets harder each year. Different type of swim each year. I think it maybe 200 meters in 3:30 will only get you a pass with a C. <2:30 will get you an A and let you sit out swim for the semester.
