How do I go about submitting my resume to West Point?? Is there a certain format that they require?

Have you read the instructions on the USMA website? For that matter, have you read every page, link, tab and dropdown item on the website, especially in the admissions section. USMA tends to be quite precise about how they want things, and you want that knowledge from 5s primary source.

For the life of me, I can't find the instructions regarding a "resume" submitted as part of the application process. I have read through every nook and cranny of the WP website, clicked on every tab, re-read every email they've sent me, and scoured these boards, to no avail. I'm sorry I missed it. But can someone point me in the right direction?

Thank you.

Look at your RC’s emails early in the process.

I would think that everything you would have on a resume would have its place in one of the forms you have to fill out as part of the application, probably the Candidate Activities Report.

Look at this from the other end of the telescope.

The Admissions folks who look at thousands of applications each year, for maximum efficiency in absorbing information, recording information for portal purposes and comparing across candidate applications, will ideally look at information collected, collated and displayed in identical or parallel formats. It’s data management. Imagine the challenge if thousands of applicants uploaded resumés in different formats, fonts, order of info display, etc. That would be painful to sift through. The pros in Admissions know how to scan an application and quickly find what they need, because the data has been collected a certain way.

This is pure speculation and conjecture on my part. There may well be a place for free form submissions, but unless someone pops up and points you at it, it may well be there isn’t. USNA Admissions now has an open chat function at certain times during the day. I don’t know if USMA does, but it never hurts to go to your official, primary sources and get the current answer for yourself.
