How long for PMS interview to be completed?

My DD has her entire application completed, green checks for everything but the PMS interview. She did the PMS interview in August, 3 1/2 weeks ago. She emailed a week ago to the dept and was told it would be completed last week but it still has not. Is it typical to take 3 1/2 weeks to complete? She will try contacting them again to see the status but I just wanted to see if this is the normal time frame. Thank you.

3 1/2 weeks is a long time to post the interview on the application. I would have your DD reach out to the unit again to confirm if they got it done. They might have already done it, and it is just waiting for approval at the next level.

Thank you. She did reach out last week and again today and it has not been completed yet by the unit.

Green check here was done about 48 hrs after interview. In fact, anything that requires manual updates is done super quick...pleasantly surprised with the process(Army and Air Force).

It sounds like the unit officer is just backed up or getting it into the system is low priority right now. Not sure there is much you can do to speed that officer up to get it completed. Maybe wait until Friday or Monday and try calling the specific officer and asking if there is anything else they need to get it completed? Being cordial and professional would be good. Your DD can work on her "rapport building" skills that will be very useful in the military.

Other option is get another PMS Interview from somewhere else.

the deadline to have files complete for the first Army ROTC scholarship board is 9 October. Whether the PMS posts his interview tomorrow or on the 9th won't effect your chances. Keep checking and keep bugging, but no need to lose sleep until you check on the 10th and it's still not posted.

It would help if one of our Army experts weighed in here. I would caution against seeking out a second interview. What could happen is the second interviewer tries to submit their notes/scores.....only to be told there was one in the system if the first PMS makes the entry this evening or tomorrow. Then both PMS would likely be contacted by higher headquarters to clarify how this happened.

What could be happening is the typical beginning of semester routine of checking new cadets into the unit and getting classes started. Or this PMS wants to do a few more interviews and rank them.

If there have been 2 calls made to the unit, I would wait a bit longer before calling again. Hopefully someone from the Army side of the house can speak with more authority.

Well, crap! Clarkson replied as I was typing my opus. I'm too technically challenged to delete it now.

She did reach out cordially to the secretary last week and today to the ROO and they are looking into it now. Thank you.

thank you! She did reach out again today respectfully and got an apology for the delay so hopefully it will be completed soon.

Interestingly enough, the year my DS got the scholarship, his portal NEVER showed his PMS interview as completed. He reached out to the ROO at his top choice college that he wanted to attend. The ROO could actually see that the PMS interview showed completed on their end of the system. We were nervous on our end when it never updated in the portal, but he was awarded the scholarship on the first board to his top 3 schools.
