How long is the DodMERB qualified good for?

Curious to know how long the qualified/approved status is good for. For example, DS completed his in March and did not receive an appointment to the CGA. If he reapplies in the fall does he need to redo everything?

DoDMERB exam is good for 2 years so he won't need to repeat it if he reapplies in the fall.

EDIT: Barring any reportable changes in his status of course. So if he gets an injur that, say, requires surgery... he'll need to report that and I'm sure an update, at least with regard to the injury would be required.

Thank you for that!

2 years from exam date.. note date of decision

Is the process exactly the same two years later? As in, we supply all of the original information again? Or, is it an update to see if there have been any changes in those last two years. Also, what if you are injured while in ROTC? For example, you tear your ACL playing sports... Will you be disqualified the next time around for the exam and booted out? How does that all work?

my DS on year 2 had a form to fill in just stating any changes.. was less than 2 years.. after 2 years you start from square 1 again

Just a heads up that there apparently isn't any (or isn't any reliable) system that autogenerates the remedial form in that 2nd year. I.e., if you were medically qualified last year, there is a remedial form R251.20 you have to fill out for DoDMERB saying no changes. Be sure to request that form ASAP. DS waited, not knowing there was a form. And now at this point in the process he has been waiting over a month for the form to be entered into the system. :(
