I am applying for the service academies but don't know how to do DODMERB. What do I need to complete?

When the SAs deem you a competitive candidate they will send you a letter requesting you to have the physical done with a selection of DoDMERB qualified docs to choose from for your appointment..

You don't do anything until they open this option for you.

You also have to have at least 50% of the application done before you will be able to complete DoDMERB.

Heather...

You can't apply to "the service acadamies", you must apply to each one separately/ None of the paperwork carries over except your CFA scores, and not necessarily those (USAFA).

What grade are you? Are you wanting to apply to the class of 2018? What are your goals? Which academy do you want to attend the most? If you really want to attend an academy you should have some pretty strong reasons why. It is extremely challenging and each academy is a path to a different career.

Do that research and you will see that each academy has a strict order of steps that must be accomplished. As for your question, you don't "do DODMERB", you will be instructed as to how to proceed, when and if an academy decides you are a valid candidate with a certain portion of your application complete.

Heather, you may also want to consider ROTC as well. As others have said SA will send your file to DoDMERB if you are deemed competitive. If you apply to ROTC only they will not send your file to DoDMERB until you are awarded a scholarship. One of the perks to applying to an SA is if you are deemed competitive and start and or complete the DoDMERB it puts you light years ahead of most ROTC canidates. Good luck moving forward.
