Husband of top enlisted airman fired warning shot at base intruder

Security forces arrested the intruder and an investigation is underway.

1. Article doesn't mention if a rifle or pistol was involved when the warning shot was fired at perp who was outside their on-base home.
2. Thought privately-owned firearms had to be stored with the MP's when on base, but I guess not.
3. Thankful the Bass' & all personnel were un-injured; the perp was arrested w/o incident.

Most AF bases require registration and forbid on-base carry of firearms for those in base housing. Dorm residents usually need to keep firearms in the armory.
