Any input would be appreciated. My DD received a TWE from the Naval Academy. She has a full tuition scholarship to a University that has a NROTC unit. Would there be any benefit to apply for a ROTC scholarship? If there is, when should she do so? If not, should she apply to the unit anyway? I apologize in advance for my ignorance on the subject, but I thought I would get a better understanding from those that are in the know as opposed to looking online. I promise you I'm not trying to be lazy. Thanks!
 
Does your DD have any desire to be a Submarine Officer. If she does than NUPOC would be a great opportunity to combine with her full tuition scholarship. She would be paid to go to school. https://nupocaccessions.blogspot.com/

Yes she should join the school's NROTC unit as a college programmer. College Programmers are students that participate in the NROTC unit the same as scholarship students up until their junior year. They compete for a Sideload Scholarship or Advanced Standing which would give them a contract to commission in the Navy. They must be under contract (sideload or advanced standing) to continue in the program junior and senior year. @5Day I plan on applying for the NROTC unit at my Plan B school and I was wondering if you have to participate in JROTC in high school to be accepted into NROTC unit or the NROTC scholarship/how much weight it holds?

No you do not have to participate in JROTC in high school to be eligible for ROTC program. In fact it has no bearing on your application, either to NROTC or SAs, just another leadership activity that is highly respected.
